Hunter's story.

The ship landed gently in the capital city of Utopia. This one happened to be carrying numerous people, but only a couple of worthy note. A male nautolan named Hunter, and a female squib named Rouge. Both knew the galaxy well, but had only just set out from their homes in search of adventure... And where better place to start than the capital city of the capital planet? Both the aliens were carrying 1000 credits... But nothing else.

Hunter walked off the ship, wanting to get a ship of his own but he needed equipment and armour first, so he headed straight for the city centre.

As Hunter arrived in the city centre, he was met by a choice... A large sign stood before him, pointing in two possible directions. One way pointed towards the main square, which was were all the registered shops would be. On the other hand, Hunter could head the other way, which lead to the local bazaar. Here Hunter could buy from stalls. It was uncommon, but the bazaar sometimes sold items you couldn't buy anywhere else in town. However, the bazaar also tended to sell goods for a higher price.

He headed into the main square and into the armour shop that he spotted as he got there.

He into the shop and picked out the kevlar armour he wanted, put it on the counter and took out the credits to pay for it

The man looked to the kevlar armour.

"That's just 350 credits."

He said. Of course! Today was tax free because of the turn of the year... The first day of the year always saw goods sold without tax. This would certainly help Hunter save a bit of money.

Hunter smiled and handed over the 350 credits for the armour

"Thank you, and happy new year to you"

He then headed into the little changing room and got into the armour, then he put his normal clothes on over it and left the shop to go buy a weapon from the weapons shop nearby.

Heading out onto the street, Hunter would spot the large crowds... Fortunately the weapons store wasn't far away, so Hunter could head right in and purchase whatever he wanted. The weapons store was set out in such a way that all weapons were easy to find... Each isle giving home to a specific type of weapon. Hunter's interest would of course lie in the explosives isle. However, this isle was locked, and Hunter had to provide his liscence to use such weapons before the drall clerk would unlock it. Being a demolition expert, Hunter always carried his liscences with him.

Hunter walked up to the counter of the weapons shop and showed his licences for the explosives aisle.

The drall nodded and pressed a button under the counter, opening the isle for Hunter.

"Looks to be in order sir. Go ahead and get what you need."

Hunter nodded in thanks and headed down into the explosives aisle, he looked up and down at the weapons for several minutes, finally choosing a boom shot, which he picked off the shelf and took back to the counter.

The clerk watched as Hunter browsed, and when he brought the weapon back, the man looked to the side arm, then back to Hunter.

"Is that all sir?"

His tone suggested he had been expecting Hunter to buy something a little bigger.

Hunter nodded

"I'm afraid so for now, but I will no doubt be back if I gain more money"

He then took out his credits to pay for the boom shot.

The drall nodded.

"Ok then sir. That will be one hundred credits in all please."

The man seemed a little put out at the small scale of the sale, but he didn't complain.

Hunter handed over his 100 credits for the weapon and then placed it in his holster. He then thanked the Drall and headed out of the shop, wondering if he could still get a ship for his remaining credits or whether he would have to maybe gamble to up his income a bit.

Hunter had just enough money left to buy the cheapest ship money could buy... It wasn't a desireable ship, and chances it would get jacked were pretty high. Hunter should maybe gamble to up his income... But then if he lost, he would have to make do without a ship. Of course, he could always look for some other way to make money... He was an adventurer after all.

Hunter thought for a moment and then headed over to the marks office to see if there were any local criminals office he could bring in for some money.

Alas for Hunter, Utopia itself was crime free... However, it appeared that a nearby villiage had been having some problems with an unknown beast lately. The beast had never been seen, but was believed to be some kind of wolf, as it killed chickens during the night. The person who put up the mark was a farmer named Douglas, but his reward for the mark was only 50 credits.

Hunter shook his head, it wasn't really worth 50 credits to hunt down a wolf, he instead headed over to the casino to see if he could get some more money that way. He went over to the booth and changed 150 credits into chips.

The woman behind the booth handed Hunter's chips to him. Hunter now had a choice of games: Higher or lower, liars dice, zilch, blackjack, roulette or poker. All the games had instructions by them, so Hunter could look up the rules if he was unsure on any.

Hunter headed over to poker, asking which type of poker it was, plus a brief explanation of the rules since he had never played it before.

This particular casino had five card draw poker. Each player was given five cards, and had to make the best hand they could with them. The players could trade in three of their cards for new ones, and the one with the best hand took the money at the end of the game.

Hunter betted 25 credits and sat down at the table, waiting for his cards.

Hunter was dealt his hand as the others put their matching bets in. Hunter's hand was dealt as follows.

3 of diamons, 3 of clubs, 2 of diamons, ace of spades, queen of clubs.

Hunter had to make another bet before he could decide if he wanted to trade in some cards or not. He currently had a pair with an ace high.

Hunter betted another 15 credits and asked to change his 2 of diamonds for another card.

Two of the other players instantly folded as they saw Hunter only discard one card. They revealed their hands, showing they had been given nothing better than a high card. The only remaining player bit his bottom lip for a moment before matching Hunter's bet and requesting two new cards.

Hunter was given the king of spades... He still only had a pair of threes in his deck. It was his bid.
